Twas the nude before Christmas

xnitfeat2There are very few cities on this planet where one can wander aimlessly through the streets as naked as the day he was born. But if you ever long to experience that freedom and can't afford to visit those nudist-friendly towns, try a little strategic scheduling your naturist stroll: Christmas eve. In many Christan countries, it's the one night when everyone is off the streets and home with family. Those few lost souls who are out and about are liable to be adult men who don't much care if you're naked or not.

That was the situation I decided to try a couple of years ago, in the company of Nakedism's (fully clothed) photographer, Andrew Adam Caldwell. I dropped my shorts and threw off the rest of my clothes for a few photos.

But after being naked for a few minutes, I realized there really wasn't anyone around to care. So I walked directly into and around what would normally be a very busy intersection, as naked as could be, with not even shoes to protect my feet. Sure, it was chilly, but it was exhilarating to have the freedom to wander around major shopping areas, pedestrian malls, and prominent businesses — Macy's, Starbucks, and more — with only the clothes nature gave me.

As we continued this walkabout, we were approached by one apparently homeless man, who asked if we were doing an art project. He seemed unphased and even a little interested or amused at seeing a naked man in the middle of downtown Seattle. And who can blame him? It's not something you see every day.

But no need to leave this fully exposed scene to your imagination. Go directly to the Nakedism photography collection and browse the visual memoir Jingle Bell Cock. Then start planning how you can put the X in your own Xmas eve.

Porn starry night

cock riderEvery one has heard of an LTR (long-term relationship). And most people know what it means to have an FB (fuck buddy). But not many people are lucky enough to have an LTFBR. Luckily, I do.

For the last five years I have had an ongoing, if highly infrequent, relationship with one of the hottest men ever to steam up the video screens of gay porn. Though he hasn't done porn in a long time, he remains a figure of desire for men and women alike.

As you might expect, the initial attraction to hooking up with a porn star was entirely prurient. And I'd be lying if I said the sex wasn't amazing, intense, and athletic. But as I have gotten to know him, I've learned to appreciate the many facets of the man that don't appear on a DVD — the sensitivities, the nonsexual talents, and inner ponderings of this enigmatic man.

But this is Nakedism, after all, not the Biography channel. This is where I open the pages of my diary to the steamy side of that friendship and let everyone else in. Curious? Go ahead. Browse on over to our library of true sex stories and read my latest memoir of the man I call X in the story The Porn Supremacy. And maybe it will prompt you to write down a few special memories of your own.

A Tom for us

It's show TomHere in the Northern Hemisphere, autumn weather has definitely set in. Falling leaves and lower temperatures mean spending more time indoors and even (unfortunately) more clothing. But autumn and the coming winter do have one advantage: The cooler weather provides a perfect opportunity for snuggling up to another body for some extra warmth.

Enter Tom. This sexy hunk first appeared in the Nakedism video theater just one year ago this month. Tom and I shared a scorching hot encounter that we recorded for posterity and presented to Nakedism members under the title of Tom foolery.

Now Tom returns, this time with only slightly more clothing — which of course he gradually removes for your pleasure. It's waiting for you now in the Nakedism art gallery, in a collection we call Just a matter of Tom. Once you see this month's photo set, I think you'll agree that Tom is definitely not just a man for autumn but a man for all seasons. I wouldn't mind warming up to him all year around.

Up close and naked

Stripping and jacking in a barroomNaked dares come in all shapes, sizes, and flavors. For example, one of my dare pals prefers never to be seen by anyone when he does a self-dare involving public nudity. On the other hand, self-dares done on webcam are explicitly intended to be seen by the viewing audience, although not necessarily by others.

Then there are dares that directly involve being seen. Like a dare to get naked in front of friends, or a dare to visit a nude beach, or experience the World Naked Bike Ride.

Recently I accepted a dare to get naked and jack off in a public place. I have accepted the same dare a number of times before, and have posted the results in Nakedism's Naked Dare cinema theater. But on this occasion, I took it a step further, not just risking being seen by a random stranger (if anyone), but openly masturbating in a restaurant in front of friends and customers.

To be fair, this was a bar and restaurant where I knew my behavior would not cause me to be kicked out or arrested. But it still took a certain amount of nerve to strip down and expose myself in such up front and personal way. Humiliating? Kinda. Hot? Definitely.

But you be the judge. Take a seat in the Naked Dare screening room, and check out the video we call Jack & Coke. Then decide how far you would go in front of friends and strangers in a public place.

A hard thing to axe

Hard hearted executionerOne of the many haunting images handed down to us from medieval times is that of the executioner. Though carrying out a legally adjudicated death sentence, the executioner is often depicted as wearing a hood designed to conceal his identity from those who might seek revenge.

A member of that grim profession who decapitated his client was sometimes called a headsman. Performing this task with a sword or an axe required a man of mighty strength. So it's not surprising that today hooded executioners are often depicted as stocky, muscle-bound mesomorphs. But as this month's photo set shows, a man with a long, lean body can also demonstrate some skill at wielding a tool of terror.

Of course, executioners weren't limited to beheading. The fabled hangman would impose the death penalty with a noose around the criminal's neck. Consequently, it only made sense to find an executioner who could show that he knew a thing or two about being hung.

So in this Halloween month of scary images and haunting costumes, turn your imagination loose as you check out the series we call The Sexecutioner, now on full display in the Nakedism galleries. Then prepare your tender throat for the onslaught of the sentence you so richly deserve.

Harvest the latest wallpapers from Nakedism

New wallpapers for fall 2013Autmn is officially here, the time of year when nature's bounty (and perhaps a few naturists as well) are ripe and ready for the reaping. But why stop at harvesting the fruits of the field? Here at Nakedism, our digital depictions are likewise firm and fleshy and ready for a good plucking.

As in seasons past, the latest wallpapers for the fall of 2013 feature echoes of recent photo sets:

♦ The extra bare look of a totally shaved body is celebrated in this previously unpublished shot of a lone stroking session.

♦ From our recent look back at San Francisco's raunchy Dore Alley event, we present a full-sized look at one of the few places in the world where you can be naked and even hard in public.

♦ Recalling our first duo photo shoot with Kory Mitchell, we see sensuous sparks fly as Bucephalus and Kory connect before the camera for the first time in this never-before-seen image.

So grab a garden implement — or whatever favorite tool you have at hand — and make your way over to the Nakedism Wallpaper farm. Click the link for your preferred screen size, use your browser's file commands to save it to your system, and apply it as a desktop background.

Then sit back, unzip, and enjoy the bounty of your harvest.

Seattle's naked heaven

Naked Solstice cyclists in SeattleYears before the internationally famous World Naked Bike Ride movement captured attention with their global naked rides, a handful of brave naked souls mounted their bicycles and crashed the annual Solstice parade in Fremont, a neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, in the US. Beginning in the early 1990s, the bare few streaked by on their bikes, sometimes chased down and arrested by police.

Over the years, the number of naked cyclists grew, some of them sporting body paint. Gradually the community began to look forward to them and even began booing the police for their heavy-handed tactics. People started to see that the police response was causing more problems than it solved.

Today, riding a bike naked is the accepted traditional, if unofficial way the the Fremont Solstice parade starts. Administered by the Fremont Arts Council, the parade is intended as an arts event and most cyclists contribute their own artistry with creative body paint and occasional props.

Because it was moved to the afternoon on an exceptionally warm day, the 2013 parade may have seen more naked cyclists than ever. Although I have ridden naked in the parade myself a couple of times before, this year I also dropped in on the (huge!) outdoor body painting party and joined over 400 of my naked fellow citizens riding through the Ballard neighborhood and stopping for a photo opp at Ross park before joining still more naked cyclists at the parade's start. The number of naked people riding through town in broad daylight was simply staggering.

But the naked frolicking didn't end there. Again following tradition, the naked bikers conclude their ride at Seattle's Gasworks Park, where few seemed in any hurry to put on clothes. People wandered around the park stark naked for some time after the parade, enjoying the weather, one another's company, and the one day of the year where such a thing was possible.

So before summertime becomes a memory, Nakedism stops to celebrate the men and women who bared it all in the name of fun and art and public exposure with our largest photo gallery ever. Although it's but a sample of the beautifully bare people I and photographer Andrew Adam Caldwell saw that day, it may give you a sense of the naked paradise that Seattle's Solstice has become.

Even in this setting, of course, there are degrees of nakedness. Some people are so covered with dark or saturated colors of paint that they don't really look naked at all. So I couldn't help wondering what it might look like if I converted a few photos to black and white, in effect stripping off the colors of some riders. Check out those experiments below. Then head on over to our photos department for Body and Solstice, for a more realistic look at one of the country's largest displays of people going naked in public.
