When police pulled over a car in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, the resulting investigation left a man fleeing the scene naked. The stripped man eluded the police for nearly an hour.
According to Boston police spokesman Officer Eddy Chrispin, police pulled over a car with the men at about 5:30 Monday evening. Police noticed one of the men behaving suspiciously and asked him to get out of the car. When the officers discovered the man had a handgun, a struggle ensued, and the other two men drove off.
The car was later found abandoned. At this writing, the two men who escaped in the vehicle have not been found.
Meanwhile, the man with the gun resisted officers and, according to the Boston Globe account, "ended up shedding his clothes and gun in the struggle, and fled the scene."
The buck naked suspect led police on an extended chase, cutting through back yards and hiding under porches until he was eventual found and taken into custody around 7 p.m. and charged with a variety of offenses.
So the question for me is this: How does a guy get completely naked in a struggle with police? Are tear-away clothes some new escape strategy?
And is it just me, or does this read like the beginning of a porn story?
Whatever the answer, it's a nice visual. And for one naked man, at least, justice is being served.
