Friends and lovers

The so-called sexual revolution is said to have been a phenomenon of sexual liberation that happened in the 1960s through the 1970s. In fact, of course, sexual relations in our culture continue to evolve. More and more, people are willing to break down the once-solid barriers between categories like "friends" and "lovers" — something gay men have been doing for years. The old continuum from platonic friend to loving spouse has given way to options like polyamorous lovers, fuck buddies, friends with benefits, and more.

My good friend Gary and I tried the dating thing, but it didn't work out. But we remain good friends and are completely comfortable enjoying our own and each other's bodies.
